I don’t know how you baptize, but I would like to “come along side you” as Aquilla and Priscilla did in Acts 18:24-26 with Apollos "who was a mighty man & eloquent in the scriptures." As they worked with Apollos, they realized that he only knew what John had taught. Evidently he had not heard what happened on the Day of Pentecost- The first day of the church, so they "explained the way of the Lord more perfectly" to him.

I'd like to share that with you!

When John began baptizing people, he baptized in "the name of Him who is to come," because that person had not yet been revealed. When Jesus came to John for baptism, John realized that this was the one that he had been looking for- The Messiah!!! Jesus Christ, the "one who was to come."

Act 18:26  And he (Apollos) began to speak boldly in the synagogue: whom when Aquila and Priscilla had heard, they took him unto them, and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly.

In the fact that Peter was given the Keys to the Kingdom by Jesus, I would like to challenge you to do some research into Peter’s message on the first day of the church- The Day of Pentecost.

Peter preached on the first day of the church, then…
Act 2:37  Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
Act 2:38  Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Act 2:39  For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

How then shall we baptize? Peter said, “and be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins…”

Our sins are literally remitted- taken away-when we are baptized in Jesus Name.

If you recall, Jesus gave Peter the Keys to the Kingdom. On the first day of the church Peter used those keys to open the door to salvation.

Jesus, in Matthew 28:19, truly instructed the disciples  to baptize in the Name of the father, the son, and the Holy Spirit.

-But what is the NAME of the father? (I come in my father's name...) JESUS

-What is the name of the son? (You shall call His name JESUS)

-What is the name of the Holy Spirit? (Jesus said, "I will not leave you comfortless, I      will come to you."

When was Jesus name baptism changed?

"Vatican causes chaos by invalidating baptism formula ...
second century."
The Catholic Encyclopedia, for example, states that "The baptismal formula was changed from the name of Jesus Christ to the words Father, Son, and Holy Spirit by the Catholic Church in the second century."Oct 5, 2020

I'll never forget the day I truly knew Jesus as the father, the son, and the Holy Spirit, was when I read the account where Phillip inquired, “Lord show us the father.”

John 14:9  Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?

John 14:26  But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

My son, who is a pastor, boldly proclaims that he will give anyone who can show him someone that was actually baptized in the “titles” in the New Testament, he will give them the keys to his truck. Though many have tried to prove him wrong, he still has his keys.

I know you are very busy, but I challenge you to take a little time to search the scriptures to see if you are baptized and are baptizing in the way Jesus intended us to.

There are great videos in the video section that teach about baptism and demonstrate people being baptized.

I have a great teaching video by Phil Robertson, of Duck Dynasty, teaching on Baptism in Jesus name. If you get a chance, check out YouTube videos of many people sharing the Gospel regarding baptism. Look up: YouTube baptism in Jesus name.

(This can also be viewed on this website in the videos section.)

Again, I just want to challenge you to do a little study on the first message preached on the Day of Pentecost. I know it was eye-opening for me!

May God richly bless you as you continue to direct souls to HIM,
