The Book of Acts

The Christian's Forbidden Book

I was raised in a denominal church and I loved God with all my heart. I remember attending church and Sunday School. We were encouraged to read the Bible, all but the book of Acts because that was the History book, so it "wasn't necessary because it isn't for today", they preached.

However, I always felt that something was missing in my life. I had repented of my sins and made sure I was baptized, but I still did things that I knew I shouldn't do, but just didn't have the power to overcome them. (The same thing that Paul dealt with.)

I cussed like a sailor, and drove my grandmother crazy, but I really couldn't quit.

That all changed when I went to a prayer meeting and was filled with the Baptism of the Holy Ghost. The very Book of Acts was fulfilled in my life!!! (See Acts 2: 38-39)

My denominal pastor came to talk to me. He said that I could not have received that experience, because only the 12 Apostles received it. I told him, "I don't know much about the Bible, but I know that I received the Baptism of the Holy Ghost just like Peter preached it in the Book of Acts.

I was also re-baptized in the name of The Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of my sins, just like Acts 2:38-39 says.

Now I truly have the power to live the life in Christ that God intended for me to live!!!

And you can too! Read the Book of Acts. Pray that God will guide you.  Know what it says for yourself!!

HIS word will lead you into all truth!!!!!
